Press Release: FINYE Mourns the September 8 Tragedy, Stands in Solidarity with Nepal’s Youth

The Federation of International Nepali Youth Entrepreneurs (FINYE) expresses profound sorrow over the tragic loss of young lives during the peaceful anti-corruption protests on September 8, 2025. At least 19 youth were killed and hundreds injured in a brutal crackdown that has shaken the conscience of the nation.

What should have been a moment of civic expression turned into a national tragedy. According to reports, at least 19 young people lost their lives, and hundreds were injured. These were not criminals they were students, activists, entrepreneurs, and ordinary citizens demanding a better, more transparent Nepal.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones, and we stand in full solidarity with Nepal’s youth. Their frustration is real. Their voices matter. And their courage must never be forgotten.

These protests were not acts of violence they were powerful calls for transparency, accountability, and justice. FINYE honors the bravery of these young citizens and shares in the collective grief of a nation mourning its future.
